Re: the Sid dispute

I'm not at all averse to hearing anyone's doubts about BLD; obviously that can be really useful. But after having received ERC's investor package and the various info and reprints they've sent along, I don't see that ERC and BLD are competitors (as companies.) (Obviously, they're competitors as stocks, since an investment in BLD could have been made in GM instead, or Hewlett-Packard or whatever.)

According to ERC's info (which I have to assume they stand behind) ERC's technology requires a large plant and generates a lot of heat. Their Santa Clara Demonstration Project has had a few glitches but looks good-- but still this plant doesn't appear to in competition even with BLD's stationary power plants which are smaller and more mobile but more costly per kw/hour.

ERC's own materials state that only the PEM fuel cell (which BLD is using and ERC does not) is plausible for buses and cars.

While ERC looks impressive at first glance,

1.It doesn't appear to a BLD competitor.

2.ERC states quite clearly that their revenues are mainly government grants which can be delayed (and have been) or cut without much warning. I prefer (for now) BLD's ability to bring in revenues from non-governmental sources.

best to all,

-Andy ....
