Burning cash to get higher EPS is an old trick. I was not impressed that they didn't mention options expense in the press release.

I own some ALTR and they at least mentioned that the volatility of the share price would make estimating their future earnings difficult... in recognition that they have a lot of options.

I have no interest in adding NVLS to my portfolio until I can see a clear path to earnings growth from operations not buying back shares with cash. LRCX is showing earnings growth with options expensing so I am happy with a large position in that stock.

Until more like me stand up and tell the companies we won't touch their option loaded shares.... what is to stop them from continuing to give shareholder wealth to insiders via options?

Until then, I'm only interested in this type of stock if its price is a very, very fat pitch down the middle... say a low PE and low PEG and low Price/sales with options expensed.
