This is the walk-in equivalent of EDGAR except more comprehensive since they also house paper documents that are often filed that way to escape being put on electronic sites, not to mention documents from the days before electronic filing. You can get more info about this at: sec.gov . Contrary to popular belief, if you get the right person, the SEC can be very helpful. When people say that the SEC tells you zip it refers to ongoing investigations, which are not public until the SEC makes them public. - Jeff
