I am receptive to the notion that there is a war of sorts going on between the west and Islamicism. That is not the kind of war that we can win. Most of the Islamic faith don't want anything to do with a war, they would rather get their groceries and kneel on their prayer rug when the horn blows. When the actions against some criminals is framed as a war then they have no choice but to decide whether they support Islam or the Crusaders. If it were framed as a criminal prosecution they could decide if they were on the side of law or crime. Wars may be emotionally satisfying, but in this case they are bad policy. TP
