To the extent that it is a "crime" in the moral sense it is less serious then what the teacher was accused of, or what the girl did (making the false accusation).

It was very lucky for the teacher they had cameras in the classroom to exonerate him. If not, he could have gone to jail and as a minimum his life would have been ruined.

This could not have been the only improper thing the girl and her father have done in their lives. I doubt that that family's every day life is rewarding.

But this is not sloppy reporting on Bill O'Reilly's part. He is enriching himself by spreading his agenda filled with hatred. He will grasp at anything to spread his hate-filled agenda.

There may not be any current laws that O'Reilly has violated, but that is only because our criminal justice system is still a work in progress. The day will come when the law will catch up with the O'Reilly's of this world.
