stupid question here... is the sears/kmart merger considered to be a success? I don't know. I know Cramer was hot for shld for a while but the stock hasn't done much lately.

Imho successful mergers are those that take a weak company from a management perspective and integrate them into a larger, stronger company. Mergers of equals don't work and thats what a msft/yhoo merger would be. I realize most will say yahoo is not msft's equal but in the area of internet tech I am certain they think they are.
