"If the authorities initiate the confrontation they are not really acting in self defense."

Of course, they are. Pretend that you come to my house to collect a debt owed to you and that I then pull a gun on you and you shoot me in self defense. Do you think the courts would hold that YOU caused my criminality and that you DID NOT act in self defense??? But you just said that if the authorities came to enforce the law and were forced to shoot you when you threatened to shoot them that THEY were not (really) acting in self defense!

You know better than that, Tim. Just give it up already. Take responsibility for your actions and don't try to place the blame on others--others whom are acting in self defense. The Constitution confirms the natural right of people to defend their life.

Society disagrees with you. The department of justice disagrees with you. And I disagree with you. If I come to collect a debt from you and you attempt to murder me, I will be entirely justified in using deadly force. A police Officer defending himself when you go berserk is no less justified than any other citizen. Stop being stubborn and wrong. This is not rocket science.

Off to the hot tub. CYA later...
