wstera,
From the general tone and content of your posts compared to mine I think I made a fair statement that you are to the right of me...

As to righter than most... you are taking me out of context ..we were specifically talking the Canadian Free For All Board only as indicated and my implied joke is that in righter than most has to do with our recent election and Steven Harper portrayed in the (generally Liberal Party leaning) Canadian media as some sort of scary right wing evildoer... key words used are right wing / conservative etc...

While in fact Canadian conservatives are for the most part more like centre leaning Americans... Michael Adams book Fire and Ice... a short read has an excellent discussion on this...
amazon.com
A little liberal bias and Canadian smugness in the humour but nonetheless full of very interesting polling results contrasting Canadians to Americans...

I admit also I made the assumption that you are an American... relative to the righter than most on the Canadian thread...

BTW note also that I do not use it (right) in a pejorative sense.. Typically I fall under just left of center Libertarian... and I use the would this guy help me out if I was stuck in a ditch rule when sizing people up... instead of labels...

I keyed on the abortion issue because it is dogmatically controlled methinks at both ends and was a key issue in our recent election... Especially for the losing side in attack ads... Contrary to what most Canadians think we in fact have no abortion law... no 3 month cut off ... nada... rien... nihil.. The recently ousted Liberal Party politicians like too many of the electorate would like to pretend it is not an issue...

Anyway sorry if you took offense... none was intended...

I enjoy this thread BTW.

regards
Al (formerly Kastel/Spotted.Cat)
