You reach for a gun (because I am trying to arrest you because you are a criminal) and I shoot you it IS SELF DEFENSE--not technical self defense. Are you trying to tell me that a jury of 12 rational people would agree with you that it was "technical" self defense????? "What do you think will happen to them if they withhold some portion of taxes the gov't says is due because they judge that amount is spent on the war? They won't be given "deadly force"--I can tell you that. They would likely be prosecuted and fined. In the Vietnam War many of the Draft Dodgers were later pardoned. If I remember, they were given partial pardons and then full absolvement. I could be wrong. I don't remember the details... People have equal rights under the Constitution. It doesn't matter whether you are cop or a pop or a billy goat. I don't pretend that people are incapable of corruption. But I know what the rule book is about.
