The Democratic party has no clear leaders, spokespeople or message - like Will Rogers said, he didn't belong to any organized political party, he was a Democrat.

So we get this bizarre scattershot collection of statements and occasional rants, depending on who got the microphone that day to grab a headline.

Absent a capable politician like a Bill Clinton or Tony Blair-type to galvanize a centrist movement against the teetering conservative government in power, the Dems could blow it again with a 51-48% loss in 2008. Almost 40% of the electorate already knows they don't want to vote for Hillary - doesn't leave her much room to scrape together hew own 51% since the campaign will be an endless rendition of every scandalous scrap from the 1990's the researchers can dig up.
