We had a evil Wal-Mart move into a corn field in a tourist trap town a few miles north of here. Next thing you know, the cancer spread into building a new chain farm supply store...Things just keep getting worse and worse in that corn field...now there are at least; 3 hotels 2 restaurants 1 mini mall a busy industrial park with almost constant new construction a new community college campus and soon Menards plans to put in a new store It gets even worse, across the road a new project is popping up houses and apartments like little mushrooms in the spring. Walmart has created a real boom in this area...A place that used to survive on seasonal trade has become a 12 month of the year commerce center.....Steve will never be able to grasp the importance of that.
