At the risk of someone ripping me a new one, I make the following observations and provide them in the spirit of encouraging of discussion.

Likewise, regardless of the price of zinc, it will be used to make stainless steel that does not rust that is needed for things like cars, kitchen knives, and who knows what else.

Nickel is used to make stainless steel. I don't THINK zinc is an ingredient.

Zinc is a minor ingredient in galvanized steel (3% by weight on average), used to prevent rust, and is absolutely necessary in many, or most applications.

I would speculate that galvanized steel represents less than .01 of one percent of total steel production. Mind you that is still quite a bit.

The best part is that God saw fit to put silver and zinc together in many deposits on earth.

Therefore I would conclude that as the price of silver increases the supply of silver and hence Zinc will escalate. I don't know if that increase in Zinc supply will be enough to dampen supply inadequacies.

Not dissing, just critiqueing.
