What would be the consequences of total US disengagement from the Middle East: 1) possible destruction of Israel and a second holocaust 2) overthrow of the Saudi government and installation of a Taleban-style gov't 3) $500 oil, virtually destroying the world economy and stock markets, impoverishing you, as well as the rest of us 4) Iranian influence in almost every corner of the Middle East 5) Iranian nukes used to blackmail any country into doing what they want; Iranian nukes in the hands of terrorists The world really sucks without checks and balances, doesn't it?
