What is the basic problem with health care in the US? Between private and public coverage, Americans are over-insured, paying just pennies out of pocket, so patients do not have to think twice before demanding expensive tests or procedures. nationalreview.com Umm, right. Given that the single biggest reason for bankruptcies in the US is for health care related reasons, you wonder what universe these guys live in. Rumor has it that Bush will make the centerpiece of his state of the union is health care reform based on the premise that we are over-insured. Oh, he will dress it up in how to leverage private accounts and using the power of the marketplace to slash the cost of health care by eliminating groups and allowing each individual to get the best bargain on their own.
