Vestor: You just came to the same conclusion I came to about a month ago. I still follow this thread because it reminds me of the problems I could be experiencing had I decided to open a Datek account. Instead, I am opening an account with PCFN; I've heard mostly compliments about them, even though their commission rates are twice Datek's. Seems like a small price to pay, IMO, for a brokerage service I can depend on. I think you could do the small investor community a service by letting Datek know your requirements for opening an account with them. If they know that people are going elsewhere because of the comments on this thread, it may provide a bit of motivation for them to improve their customer service. Who knows? Maybe they'll even start answering some of the more aggregious problems highlighted in this forum. Good trading, jim
