The type of line-by-line comparison you are thinking of is very difficult to do, Sonus has a distributed architecture so many times functionality for Sonus does not match up in a one versus one comparison to other vendor offerings. The easy answer is they will generally sit miles away at Vonage, but that is really simplifying it. There are gateways, Class4 and Class5 softswitches, border controllers, IMS and IMX functionality, and more within the Sonus architecture.

I have seen several good attempts to compare Sonus equipment by function and when I run across one I'll post it back.

Of those two links, the only area I would say is close to being an area of competition between Sonus and Cisco is the VoIP gateway within the first product, but even that is misleading.
