Kerrey proves the smearvets were 100% liars when they denied any atrocities happened in Vietnam, and claimed John Kerry was lying about atrocities which other vets asked him to tell congress about.
Kerrey did indeed confess to being part of atrocities, and let's face it, a big chunk of that war was one big fat atrocity. The carpet-bomging, Agent Orange, napalm, free-fire zones, CIA Phoenix assassination program (including beheadings) and the burning down of hootches, not to mention the My Lai massacre, which was not an isolated event. All of that John Kerry and his friends witnessed or took part in, as they were ordered to do so by smearvet commanders like Admiral Hoffman, the extremist rightwing king of hootch-burning.
That is what happened when dishonest rightwingers get ahold of our foreign policy and military. Like at Abu Graiab, they do awful things that hurt our own cause. |
