A Market Maker, commonly refered to as an MM. HDSN is Hudson, the Firm is Wholesale Market Maker unlike a Retail Market Maker. Such as NITE, Knight or UBSS, UBS Capital.

Other Wholesale MM on this particular secruity include VERT= Vertical and FRAN= Frankel just to name a few. They serve different purpose. As do ECN's, which all MM's can route thru and so can the public. When you undersatnd there capabilties and place in the market it gives you a great depth at reading L2 and there functions.
