You answer me that, TP. New owners sometimes, and usually, change direction of the company. The skills that were needed at the old company may not be the same skills that are needed for the new one. The new owners are not the heirs, who had a vested interest in the company and the people who worked there. The new ones don't have that same history.

And BTW, I see the union demands have trashed Ford and more than 30,000 employees.... Where did those high wages go now? Nice on paper, but not so nice when push comes to shove....When will the union members realize there was a time long ago that unions were necesssary, and now, are no longer necessary.
