I think one huge problem is msft and yahoo discovered search sometime last year (or thats what it seemed like) and the mindshare game was totally lost.

We already know, and have known for years that the minor search sites like Findwhat fell apart years ago, because the big names have an ability to "circle" the ads more often and show every access a new link. So those 2nd tier sites fell off 2 years ago and now the same thing is happening to yahoo and msft, irrespective of how great their search is.

Thats why I think Kessler (the S&P analyst) is FOS, because I think the mindshare wars are won by GOOG. Its too late for another player now, UNLESS they come out with something totally new and create a new space. Just basic business school stuff here.
