OK....SOX down 3.91......0.71% .........SMH up 0.11 ........0.29% SOX down because its 4 highest-priced stocks...which rule the roost....all down......with some big downs....MRVL+BRCM down 3.43, add KLAC and MXIM to that and you get 4,35....The only big plus was from my baby AMD, but that offset the big losses by only 1.55........ SMH, will not pretend to do all the math...but while most of the 18 stocks were down, 2 of the up stocks were up fairly hefty amounts......AMD and SNDK (not in the Sox).....and with the weighting of the SMH (reasonable) that wa senough to cause the very small up in smh. Satisfied??
