Big Oil's gouged revenues result in very little going back to the government. Bush has slashed corporate taxes and billionaires' taxes, plus Big Oil sees itself as above the law and no doubt harbors tens of billions in offshore tax havens. I know Halliburton does. I'm sure the others do as well. And why should HAL or X be afraid of the US federal government regulation when, with Bush-Cheney-Delay in charge, they basically own it? It's like a big oil mafia and they are running things now along with all their connected cronies.

Until We The People boot them out and see there's justice, that is.
