SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- POET Software Corporation, a leading provider of object-oriented database management system (ODBMS) solutions, today announced an agreement with Verity, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRTY), a leading provider of search and retrieval applications for the enterprise and the Internet, whereby POET will integrate Verity SEARCH'97 into POET's Universal Object Server on NT. POET will offer the Verity text search extension as an optional "plug-in" for the POET Universal Object Server. The Verity SEARCH'97 plug-in will also be included, at no extra charge, with the POET Software Development Kits for Java, C++, and ActiveX on NT.
