I'm selling. I've been a shareholder for 11 years. But my recent experiences as a customer of Dell have been so unbelievable bad -- so appallingly negative -- that I'm finally being forced to the conclusion that so many have already reached. That Dell isn't getting the job done, that they are so far removed from the home/small biz customer base that they either don't want or are unable to execute on customer service. I'm not even talking about technical service, but basic customer service like billing the proper amount and having a mechanism for correcting their errors. I am so vexed that I feel like liquidating every share I own right now, today. I used to have Michael Dell's email address, and I just tried to send him a note. But it bounced back. No doubt he's getting enough nasty mail that he's ducking people these days. Sorry for the rant. First time I've posted here in forever. Their system is fundamentally dishonest, as it is designed to put you into an endless series of loops and catch-22's. One day I'll think its funny. But not today. I've been passively holding a fairly large number of shares for a long time, even though its been obvious for years that the bloom is off the rose. But now I'm selling. I just have to force myself to do it wisely instead of picking up the phone right now. Christ, how disappointing.
