"Bush Speech to Outline Energy Alternatives
Tuesday, January 31, 2006"

The best thing Bush could do would be to lead Americans to becoming as efficient as possible in everyday things FIRST. He could lead the way by buying out the production lines of incandescent light bulbs in America and shut them down, and ban their import and use.

The next thing he could do is develop a programe to replace every inefficient toilet in America with a dual flush 6/3 litre efficient toilet.

Las vegas had 34.7 million visitors last year.
There are 2 million people living in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
So 2 million times 365 days equals 730 million people days per year.
So in one year there are 730 million people days plus 34.7 million people day visitors(conservative as not known length of stay) which equals 764 million people days.

Each person flushes tiolet say average 5 times a day.

So in one year in Las Vegas toilets are flushed 5 times 764 million or

3.8 billion times.

Say these toilets use 10 litres of water, thats 38 billion litres.

Say Las Vegas mandated low flush toilets that work, saving 50 percent.

That would be 19 billion litre of water saved or 5.2 billion us gallons saved.Multiply this by the population of America and the savings are apparent...savings in water that does not have to be pumped and does not need to be treated.Treating today only removes 80 percent of sediments and crap so that 20 percent of sludge stew still goes back into lakes and streams.

pumas.jpl.nasa.gov

That is what Bush could do for a start, but he will probably go on about pie in the sky hydrogen and all here know that EROI for hydrogen is less than 1...it does not want to be compressed, it does not want to be pumped and will leak out of almost any container.

Get America efficient along with incentives for practical alternative energy such as wind and solar and a tax reduction and pension deficit pay off to the first of "the big three" that can mass produce an all electric "world city car" that can get 200 miles to the charge at 1ess than 15 grand...<<gg>.
