As we noted in our 6:46 Early Research Call, JMP downgraded AMD to Mkt Perform from Outperform. The firm says that while they remain extremely positive on the fundamentals of AMD's momentum and mkt-share gains against INTC in the PC/server processor mkt, they believe that most of the near-term good news, including potentially winning DELL as a customer, is reflected in the recent run up in the stock price. They continue to believe that DELL is likely to use AMD in a new line of PCs and servers beginning in the second-half of 2006; in an attempt to recapture mkt share against HPQ and SUNW which have benefited from the superior price/performance/watt of the AMD64 processor architecture
