"Dubya is all knowing all seeing, how he has time to deal with Cindy while in the middle of the State of the union just shows the greatness of the man. :-)"

Umm, are you claiming that Dubya personally ordered her arrest? I'd have thought that someone set policy, but if Smirk is personally directing every little detail...

It has nothing to do with showing greatness. It has everything to do with managing a campaign of civil disobedience. There are two ways to win. The Nazi approach, you step on every sign of it and infiltrate with secret police. Historically, this is only a short term solution and often leads to terrorism and worse over the long haul. And when you finally lose power, you go to jail. Or maybe a meat hook. Or you can tolerate it, stay on message that you appreciate their input and you believe they are wrong, but you support their right to express their opinion. This marginalizes them and dilutes their message. Then when you lose power, it is just a change of the guard.

Civil disobedience is nothing new.
