Not even remotely.

It is not such a throwback, and even if it was that doesn't automatically mean it is bad. The middle ages where in most ways worse, and in many ways much worse than today but that doesn't mean that any possible situation, idea, or relationship that existed in the middle ages is/was automatically a bad thing.

Its not a throwback because it is the current situation. Not a change to some older system. You might try calling it a holdover from the middle ages. That wouldn't be accurate either but at least it would accurately express your idea.

In any case the system of public corporations and stock trading doesn't remotely resemble feudalism or any other common medieval system of organizing the economy.
