Usually requires a board of Directors meeting. It must have been today or last night. Maybe the earnings were so good a few of the directors got on the phone and said - lets have a meeting to discuss how strong the future is and a split if appropriate. IMO - it is almost always a great clue to the future. Only misfire that comes to mind is Amat's last. Bob
