I worked with Special Services back in 1952..(before you were born or out of diapers ?) I was treated as a first LT.. .and had all the privileges of that rank and they were great. My meals were served to me at the officers club. I ate very well. Steak dinners... the works. Liquor was at rock bottom prices... It was embarrassing to be treated so royally. Of course I could not date the non commissioned officers.. That was a bummer...as I met some nice young men, college graduates .. athletes.. all going to Korea.. It was the best of times and the _____ of times for many reasons. Your situation sounds awkward and totally out of reality. How COME.. And it sounds as though you paid handsomely for your medical plan..
