Social Security "Reform" was supposed to enrich Citibank and Morgan
Stanley et al at public expense. Would it have actually
worked? The Bushies didn't consider that angle. They didn't care if it
actually helped Social Security or demolished it. Their friends made
money either way, again at public expense. Like Iraq, it had one
purpose, and keeping the system solvent was not a part of it.
