results and reports need to be made public. but promotion, to me implies the proverbial 'dump' also. "Ultimately, the goods in the ground will speak for the company as they did with FGX" i agree with that. "but who can argue with telling your story properly so that the stock gains an audience?" i believe that the story gets known or 'discovered' by smart people like yourself doing DD. FGX is an example. i was frustrated with how long it took to move, but move it did. i heard that Randy R. wouldn't even send out a news release because it costed $300. sounds like a guy that wouldn't waste your money. some say that that is penny wise and dollar foolish. maybe it is, but the story did get told by Claude and others and shareholder's value was increased. bottom line is that i hope that any stock i hold gets successfully promoted (good or bad) after i buy. but i still wonder if it is a sign of good management for management to do so.. regards, -gru
