In Pakistan, more than 300 Islamic students protested, chanting "Death to Denmark" and "Death to France."

To jump on your side of the fence for a while, there does seem to be something messed up about this. Americans would never march in the streets chanting "death to some outsiders", regardless of how messed up things are. Following 9/11 Americans didn't organize protests where the participants shouted stuff like "death to Saudi Arabia". The Muslims anger at the cartoons is totally understandable, but their inability to express the anger like civilized adults is disappointing.
