"Your point turns what happened upside down." I disagree. There is more than one valid perspective on this issue. The police admitted that their guidelines were to vague to support the action they took. However, they referred to historical understandings that justified their concerns. They indicated that there needs to be more clarity in the laws around this. It would be sad to see this event restricted to a televised broadcast of the presidents speech from the oval office. But I would support that before I would agree to allow disruptive protests that interfere with the delivery of the State of the Union Address.
