Adobe made a decision that is purely financial.

1) Adobe has a virtual monopoly on 2D design tools. They are not going to loose any clients over this.
2) Apple no longer has a monopoly among designers. Apple based designers have no economic power.
3) The conversion is going to cost Adobe money they are sick of it and don't need to shell out more money for a product that will soon be obsolete.
4) Apple is a competitor.

They just sat down and ran the spreadsheets. Zero reasons to upgrade current software.

It's a good decision on their part.

It's also a reason for many buyers to hold off during the transition period which I've always said will happen.

Patience. Patience.
