Jobs & the board knew there might be a slow down during the transition due to problems like the Adobe problem.

To their credit they did it anyway. Long term vision is all to rare among corporate heads. Short term profits make companies look better than they really are at the expense of long term profits. If you ask me it's a really positive sign that they chose to make the transition.

A sales dip during this transition is not necessarily a bad thing. It could cause the stock price to be temporarily undervalued. That's something I think a lot of investors would be interested in.

Give it a year and it should really start to kick in. People like me will be squirming for a new box by then but I can tell you I'm holding out until it makes sense for me. Software previously unavailable will start to be available for the Mac. Corporations will have completed studies on Mac integration and will have come to the conclusion that UNIX beats Microsoft hands down. This is gonna be big just not yet.
