OT As my wife and I get a bit older and actually on occasion use the health care system, the hassles with insurance gatekeepers trying not to pay bills (among other things) is certainly helping me come around to your view. If memory serves me right I think folks in the countries you mention also live longer than here in the USA, and survival rates for newborns are higher. Just don't get caught speeding <ggg>, I remember some Nokia exec going way over the limit some years ago and getting a multi thousand dollar fine - it was all over the news here.
