That is at about 1000 gallons of ethanol per acre. One advantage over corn is that you can use the whole plant instead of just part of it. In addition, you just plant it and leave it, instead of plowing, fertilizing, spraying for pests, etc. that corn requires.

I don't think we have to wait that long this year. Our trees have budded and the birds are migrating through. Winter ended here about 3 weeks ago.
