larry: not sure about 64Mb EDO (not sure anyone is making much of this) but 64Mb SDRAM is now below $30, at about $26-27. The intel chips are, as I understand it, to be the system software "EPROM" to give instant on but won't be fast enough to be SDRAM. Also, real progess is being made in FRAM which is a competitor to both DRAM and flash. Check out RMTR. Also, I am the one who told you that SDRAM would be required in the new PII chip set <g>. I am disappointed I did not get to be the first to post that MU was under 40, maybe I'll get to do the 30 next tuesday at 9:30:01 am. My new motto: "MU soon to be a one billion dollar company!"
