Did the program say what caused the previous Ice Ages and Warming Cycles in the millions of years before man got here?

It didn't. It addressed the one known as the Little Ice Age. That's the only ice age in recorded history. We don't know much about the other ones.

It was a fascinating program. The Little Ice Age started in the Middle Ages and ended early in the eighteen hundreds. The ice on the Delaware when Washington crossed it was a function of that phenomenon. And the loss of the Spanish Armada. And the consumption of potatoes in Europe. (The French were the last to take up the potato and they suffered greatly as a result.) And perhaps the quality of the Stradivarius violins. (That last one is just speculation.) I recommend the show. I will watch it again if I find it. That's something I almost never do.
