A consumption tax structured as a flat tax coupled with elimination of the current IRS regs would work as long as there was a stepped tax break, IMO; i.e., incomes under 30k per year get a %refund of the taxes they paid. Never gonna happen but dreams are good...

Simple is good but simple doesn't allow special interest(crooks) to tip the scales of injustice in their favor.
