Since no one is responding..I will help you out...If you XAU options expire in the money..You get money back...If you pay $ 300 for one contract..and it say, closes this friday at $ 500..You will get $ 500 in your account.
Also, if you are bullish Gold you wouldn't short Gold futures or gold stocks.. Pretty simple...Now for the hard part..Timing..If you don't have timing..You will pay to much for your options...Thus the exit point is also important...You can be right with the direction and still lose money...That's why you need to be able to read a chart..
It's your money..Fundamental news is already in the market by the time you read it.. Good luck.... Ed
