Re: GSCP ICGE is like an investor. Looking for good companies to invest in. I found one with low outstanding shares, zero debt, profitable, growing 50%, revs and earnings, good PE, brand names products. It's the type of stock, web based, Internet software, that is growing strongly that allows a larger company to strengthen its bottom line financials if acquired.
Anyway, I'm in that one for a while. I suppose I could look more into ICGE to see if there's a hint of other small companies growing at a strong clip to invest in.
I saw someone mentioned CMGI. I remember that for a long time, going back to around 2000. It bought a lot of companies up, but had some downturns in stock price.
I try to do what these acquirers do and find small companies that SURPASS my due diligence and start buying them up. Besides Globalscape (GSCP), I'll take a look at ICGE and maybe one of you guys can notify them of a potential company they can acquire.
I'll keep checking back time to time. I'm new to SI.
