Besides being an ethical problem, It violates the fundamental goal of the Constitution to form a more perfect union.

"A more perfect union" does not equal "a more equal union". The goals of the founders of the constitution included such things as liberty, equality under the law, democracy (with some reservations about its excesses), public order... They did not include economic equality.

I see no ethical problem with the fact that some people are politically, socially, economically, or physically more powerful than others.

But even if the fact that some are more powerful than others was both a violation of the spirit of our constitution and an ethical problem, that still wouldn't make it relevant to your proposal. Your proposal would not change this fact. It would make people less free but not more equal.
