OT At a certain point protection becomes counterproductive to innovation, I agree. and I believe we are well past that point. I'm not sure I agree with that, but I'm open to the idea that at least in certain areas we may be past that point. Not just with patents but with copyrights that never expire (they have an expiration date but the date gets extended before it is reached). As for your link, I haven't read it yet but I e-mailed it to myself to read later. Tim
