Exactly... except I'm shorting the March, the same month as the underlying contract, since I'm also trading the March contract... I think it's the only way to trade these contracts, it gives you protection just in case, and you grab a big chunk of points even if the market doesn't move much... if you just got back, then you didn't see what happened with the previous trade...

I was long the contract, short the Put and short the Call... when I reversed to the short side, I lost 8 points on the trade with the contract, but I made 9.6 point on the short options, so I actually netted a profit of 1.6 points overall... not too shabby for a supposedly losing trade...<g>

Since this whole thing is still experimental, let's see how this current trade goes, it should be interesting... even if this market goes sideways for the next few months, I can grab 84.3 points from this trade... it would be just like being short the contract and the market selling off to 1190.00... a scary thought, huh?
