Bush-Rove-Delay won elections by sharp propaganda, scapegoating, election fraud, smearing all opponents as un-patriotic, fear-mongering about terrorist strikes and Saddam launching missiles at us, claiming tax cuts are the panacea for econmomic problems and by playing the compassion card pretending to want to take care of peoples' real problems, including baby's and gramma's.
Do you think anyone is going to believe any of the above crap again in 2006 or 2008?
The evidence is now in. The Bush GOP is very selfish, dishonest, corrupt and incompetent. They will always win the far right, the diehard Repubs, the wackos and "wealth should be rewarded" types, but average American swingvoters are not going to find anything palatable on the Bush GOP plate, including Bush as commander in thief.
So what will Rove do (assuming he's not indicted first)? Probably go on the attack instead, making the case that "we made be selfish stinkers but liberals are homo-loving elitist French people". And will that work? I doubt it. It's so tired and phony.
Prediction: DEms pick up 35 seats in congress and 4 in the senate, plus enough GOP moderates and liberals join them. Net result. We can start investigating the mountain of rightwing crimes and finally get these clowns impeached and indicted, where they belong. Of course it won't be easy because Bushies know they're impeachable and will fight like hell not to let their house of cards fall. |
