New Yorker review of "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada."

Interesting point: Tommy Lee Jones has a screenplay for Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian" ready for filming. Now, that would be a movie to make, bloodier than anything ever filmed. Audiences would retch if only 50% of the violence is depicted. And, still, a great and beautiful book, in the top 15 novels of the 20th century. Interesting to see who would play The Judge. I can't think of anyone who fits the bill, perhaps Duval, though he doesn't really have the physicality the role requires.

Sir Ridley Scott reportedly also wants to do "Blood Meridian."
