That's true but fear is also a big factor and by this I mean the fear of what they believe will happen to them if they don't comply. In other words, they have been told to fear the devil, and they do, and they have been told to fear the terrorists, and they do. They don't argue with the priest and they don't argue with the government. Between their parents, their school, their work, their religion, their peers and the main-stream media they have been totally conditioned to "believe" and do what they are told. Liberty and free-thinking are taboo. Protest against the government is akin to treason. Obedience to authority is everything.
