No, glaciers are melting quickly on both poles. Whoever told you that probably works for the oil companies. Don't believe those bastards.

Watch the movie "March Of the Penquins" and see how their entire life cycle is based on regular timing of the melting of the winter ice. Like the seals are freezing to death in the arctic, wildlife in Antarctica is threatened too. The coral reefs and the cradle of life of the ocean is already deeply damaged, not to mention all the pollution in the water.

If we humans are going to survive another 100 years we need to act like adults and solve these problems quickly. If we're only concerned about short-term profit, oil lobbyists and Gw Bush, then we defeat ourselves.

Also, let's face it the gasoline engine is old-fashioned and almost obsolete. We need to move on. Bush said so in his State Of The Union, but the bastard is busy cutting clean fuels programs at the same time he's suggesting we get off our oil addiction. The guy is just patently dishonest when it comes to Big Oil and pollution. He is bought and paid for by those guys.
